Will it arrive in time?
Pick the day the gift has to be in their hands. You get the last day to order, and the day that leaves room for a change to the proof.
No account, no email. It runs in your browser.
Based on about 15 working days from order to door, weekends skipped. Public holidays and peak-season post can add a few days. We do not currently ship to the EU or the UK.
How the dates are worked out
A personalized book takes about fifteen working days from order to door: the story is written and illustrated, you get a digital proof in the first few days, and printing and shipping take the rest. The calculator counts that many working days back from your date. The earlier date adds five more, which is roughly one round of changes to the proof without a rush.
Questions about timing
Does it count public holidays?
No, only weekends. A public holiday or the December post rush can add a day or two, so treat the later date as the edge, not the target.
When do I see the proof?
In the first few days after you order. The rest of the time is printing and shipping, which is why the proof is the part you can still speed up by replying quickly.
What if I am already too late?
Order anyway and print the approved proof. Giving the story on the day and the hardcover a week or two later works better than most people expect, because the book gets opened twice.
Is the time the same in every country?
About the same: the quoted time is order to door wherever we ship. We do not currently sell or ship to the European Union or the United Kingdom.

The gift deadline calculator is free to embed in a gift guide or a post. Copy the line below into any page. It works anywhere an iframe does, needs no key and no script, and nothing is tracked.
Please keep the Fableself credit line under the widget. That link is the only thing we ask in return.
The story already happened. Let's put it on paper.
Five short chapters and a few photos, we'll take it from there.
