Which moment to choose

Everybody has the big moments, which is exactly why they read as ordinary in a book. A small repeating ritual works better: who makes the coffee on a Sunday morning, the same argument at every house move, the song that always goes on in the car.

Photos for a two-person book

We need one or two clear shots of each of your faces. Photos where you only appear together and at a distance make the likeness harder. Phone photos are fine, and old ones are no problem.

The proof comes to you, not to them. You can put the date and your own line on the dedication page, and all of it can still be changed at the proof stage.

An Anniversary Gift That Tells Your Story

Every couple has a founding myth: the wrong train, the borrowed umbrella, the friend of a friend's dinner party. An anniversary is the one day a year built for retelling it, and a hardcover book retells it better than anything wrapped in ribbon.

An illustrated page from a Fableself book, Anniversary

We take your photos and the beats of your story and turn them into an illustrated book, your faces, your city, your inside jokes, drawn page by page in a style that fits you. Watercolour for the romantics; cinematic concept art for drama; vintage engraving for timelessness.

Ten spreads give the story room to breathe. And because you approve the proof before paying, the only surprise left is the one you hand across the table.
