You send a few photos and one true detail, the dinosaur obsession, the missing front teeth, the bicycle with the bell. For ages three to six, shorter and softer usually lands best. For seven and up, a longer adventure with them as the lead holds attention page after page. Either way, you see and approve a full digital proof before paying anything.

Before you order

When should you order?
Your proof arrives a few days after you order, and once you approve it, printing and delivery usually take one to two weeks. For a printed book, starting about three weeks before the birthday leaves a comfortable margin. Leaving it late does not sink the gift: print the proof on the day you approve it, and let the book itself arrive a few days later.
The detail that brings the story to life
An age and a name are not enough. The obsession of the moment is what works: making you open the same page every night, reciting dinosaur names, that argument in the supermarket. One concrete habit produces a better story than ten general sentences.
What to expect by age
Between three and six, short sentences and a repeating pattern land best. After seven a child wants to see themselves as the hero of an event, so the story needs a small problem and the moment of getting past it.
